Look mate, it is documented in the scriptures or jews, christians and muslims that a woman should cover her hair, you just need to look at pictures of the virgin mary in churches and you'll realise that she looks like a veiled muslim lady. It has only been over the past 20-30 yrs that Australian society and Australian women have accepted that a lady can wear whatever she wants, the introduction of the mini skirt led to more revealing clothing. It was only 40 yrs ago that women weren't even allowed to wear bikini's, they had to wear long trunks. So this means that we as a christian nation have actually removed ourselves from the teachings of the church by becoming more 'modern'. Just because a muslim lady is wearing traditional religious clothing which was basically a religious requirement in many chris/jew societies sometime ago, doesn't mean that they are any different.
The muslim religion is based on the morals which were taught to jews and christians, see its like a trilogy, jews first, then christians believe that jews 'should' have converted to christiantiy, and then muslims believe that christians 'should' have converted to islam. Therefore, the ancestors of many muslims are actually jews and christians.
And as for the 'Hadith' you mentioned, I personally have never heard it before, but Hadith are not in the Koran, they are merely 'stories' passed on from generation to generation, and thats why not many muslims literally follow them, they are just folklore not religious teachings.
