re: valued announcements I agree with NO dollar value attached it makes it hard for anyone to get their mind around what it means.
There are some real difficulties is quantifying an open ended contract.
For example....the scope of works at Westminster Palace...how do you quantify a project under construction?
And BBC for example.....BQT are installing their products in every single BBC building in the UK......but is being done on an as needed basis.....when a building is ready to be done.
I think however BQT could say....the contract is owrth a minimum of say (dollar value) and worth a potential (dollar value)
Trouble is with security and any building works.....detail changes almost daily....
I am led to believe the major deals do have some explicit language in them about money, delivery, etc etc.
But in any construction environment, companies normally quote a dollar value for the scope of works with provisioning for adjustments.
And BQT do NOT install...they are dealing with 3rd parties.....
A little complex and also annoying........but i believe the big ones will detail money.
Remember we are a little way into 2005 and BQT have announced 5 deals out of 100
I think we need to keep this in mind.
Just keep announcing deals....the money will look after itself.
That is what i know......at least for now.
