Honestly, deals are nice. They're a measurable metric, and they up the bidding price for any potential takeover. But for me, the big money is really made when the peptide libraries are proven useful for something profitable - a delivery mechanism for a valuable drug, for example. I'd much rather see a announcement like "Roche goes into Phase 1 clinical trials for new cancer drug".
