The problem with referring to brokers for advice is that if the stock isn't one they are actively promoting then they are likely going to do their level best to talk it down and convince you to buy one of the stocks they are promoting. I got burnt in a very big way when I sought advice on FMG when they were 40c and about to sign the mega-billion dollar deal with the Chinese. "Don't bother, it's factored in already" was the response. A few days later he was on the phone trying to get me into an IPO!!!
