An interesting report, dated August 15 2011, was published by Macquarie Equities Research relating to Duvernay Shale and participating companies including Transerv.
The Report compares Duvernay shale extremely favourably with Eagle Ford shale.
In part:
'Is the Duvernay Albertas Eagle Ford?
Over the next decade, we believe the Devonian-aged Duvernay shales will emerge as one of the most promising oil/gas resource plays in Canada.
In fact, we see these shales as having the potential to be Canadas answer to the prolific Eagle Ford shales in south Texas. Eagle Ford producers, such as EOG Resources, Chesapeake, Anadarko Petroleum, Petrohawk (now BHP), and Pioneer, have significantly ramped up activity, moving the rig count in that area from essentially nil in late 2009 to 140+ rigs today.
In our view, the Duvernay shales are at the precipices of being a timeless unconventional resource play, characterized by the right geochemical, petrophysical and mineralogical parameters.'
Transerv, Mako and Kilgore holdings of Duvernay acreage feature very favourably in the report which is at:
