I have no problem with examination of the facts and fair enough.

For anyone to suggest the Murdoch press was intimidated by Gillard is nonsense.

Yes, they have worldwide credibility problems and justifiably.

However, they understand defamation and retracted as they should have.

I have no problem with them doing further research and reprinting their views based on legal evidence.

The trouble is that Gillard is now branded as a criminal in the minds of many regardless of the retraction.

That is grossly unfair and any of us in the same position would be devestated.
