It wouldn't take much between now and then for Labor to recover 5% and all of a sudden the contest will be much closer, 48% Labor 52% coalition.
With Abbott at the helm, I don't think there will be a landslide. Don't forget he has a very high disapproval rating, just as Gillard has.
What if Labor has a new prime minister and deputy prime minister ? The improvements in Labor's % will be even more.
