So you think that one person, or one group of people, has manipulated the PDN stock price all the way down from over $5 to $1.80 in the course of six months?
I don't buy it. The percentage of short sales for yesterday was 0.37% of issued capital. Approximately 3 million shares, out of 11 million sold. Okay, that's not an insignificant amount, but still - I do not, and cannot, believe that manipulation is the only cause; it would take pretty deep pockets, and a hell of a lot of nerves, because it would be incredibly risky.
Do I think that PDN is undervalued right now? Definitely. Would I buy back in (after selling just below $2)? Not at the moment, for a number of reasons - most of which are to do with personal circumstance, not sentiment. I think it's a combination of memories of Fukushima, plus the general bearish sentiment on the share market at the moment, that's to blame.
Ultimately, it comes down to your view of the company. Is it undervalued at the moment? Then buy more, if you can. Is it overvalued? Sell. Day trader? Lots of opportunity with the extreme volatility.
But if you feel uncomfortable because you can't afford to lose money, sell out - you have to be prepared for the rough rides, and the share market is no place to invest money you can't afford to lose.
