After watching this forum for some months, I hesitated and decided to have a say for the first time, in particular a response to Hangseng and Buddy's threads.

    I have similar views.

24 years ago I bought into AAR,I don't recall what attracted me to this stock,it seemed like a goer, but it came to an end in Oct '87. Gold stocks were over valued compared to physical gold, so they suffered more so.I clearly recall the attempt to ring my broker on the day of the crash. No luck

Back in the late 80's computers were in their infancy. IBM's 286 or something like that, with hard drives of 50Mb. There was no internet, no forums, no online stock trading etc. I guess we relied on stock brokers, newspapers and journals for information. We traded paper with brokers

If you look at the chart history, I bought into AAR just before its historical high of about 76c and I didn't regard it as a 'penny dreadful' and 76c was a reasonable sum then! It has never recovered and in my opinion it never will. I've done my doe!

Promises, promises, and capital raising seems what they are good at. This is not investing!

To all the hopefuls good luck!
