the other thing with the models these "gods" use is that it is impossible to take in or account for every factor, every contingency known or unknown and arrive at an accurate representation of how things will be in that timeframe.
in my field we take into account every known factor try, notice that - try to take in other factors that "may" happen and come to a conclusion.
we can factor in 99% of known assumptions and build upon that but it is always the slim very small piece we miss that causes catastrophic failure.
to summarise and declare that such and such an event or outcome WILL occur no matter how large the knowledge base is foolish and is only showing ones bias towards that event (and in all likelihood wishing that it happens). it is also showing that the people who are predicting with certainty using flawed modeling are not scientists but charlatans - priests of the "new age"
