Hi luckstarharry, sorry Chawkey I love these little suckers, thought I'd get in first !!
Example,-lets say you hold 1,000,000 whno. Strike price is 7.5 cents meaning WHN ordinary shares need to reach this price in order to excersise your options.
Lets say WHN has reached 50cents and you have decided its time to excersise your WHNO.
You send a cheque for $75,000 (1 million x7.5 cents) to Advanced share registry made out to WHL energy.
Your options will then be converted into fully paid ordinary shares.
1,000,0000 x .50c = $500,000 worth of shares now less the cost of your options say $20,000 (1mill @.02c each) and the conversion price of $75,000 leaving you $405,000 in front.
Had you spent your $20,000 on ordinary shares at say .055c each, when the shares reach 50 cents your investment would be worth $181,818.00. (less the $20,000 spent) leaving you up $161,818.
So 20 grand spent on options using the above example instead of buying heads can make you a STACK.
Of course if the heads dont reach strike price your options expire worthless.
