i can see your point,and agree to a point, the 1st beast of revelation 13 came out of the sea, sea means people multitudes kingdoms and tongues (isaiah 17.12)place inhabited.
a beast is a kingdom(dan7.17)rome rose out of 7 heads (rev 17.9)
rome was a persecuting power to the christians and in 13.2 the dragon.satan gave him his seat and his power and was to continue forty and 2months.in prophesy this time line is 1260 years,or the exact time of the dark ages 538ad to 1798
rev 13.6 said this power would blaspheme,blasphemies only apply to religous powers,pagan rome became papal rome and adopted all of its pagan practices and rituals and just changed its name to christian.ie ceasars official tittle was pontifus maximus- the popes official tittle still is pontificus maximus,and claims to be gods representative on earth
rev 13.3 and i saw one of its heads as it was wounded to death and his deadly wound was healed and all the world wondered after the beast
after general berthier marched into rome and took the pope prisoner this church and state power was given a mortal wound.it seemed to all the world rome had recieved a mortal wound.The pope was taken into exile and died and the power seemingly was taken away or recieved a mortal wound
in 1929 mussolini restored the vatican state powers after the state powers were taken from her,the holy see was given too her and she could send as a state power again as a sovereign nation church and state power to the nations,and indeed the deadly wound was healed
the 2nd beast came out of the earth,in other words from a country not inhabited or discovered rev 13.11 and exercised the same powers as the 1st beast rome against the world
2 differant powers,and the 2nd beast came up out of a discovered land,and exercised the same powers the 1st beast did,and infact made the world bow down to the 1st beast as spoken of in rev 13.12
i believe the road we are on at the moment is the restoration of church and state in america
and he causeth all rich and poor,free and bond,to recieve a mark in his right hand or forehead
