Hi Crewy, some of the posts here have a political agenda and make outrageous claims including saying that the RBA is not an independent statutory body. Some of the posts reflect on the integrity of the RBA members and frankly the way I see it they are defaming the Board with their ridiculous assertions. The Reserve Bank Board has amongst its members prominent captains of industry some having headed some very large stock exchange listed companies. The politically motivated posts aimed at the government wrongly imo malign members of the Reserve Bank of Australia Board for political motive.
To emphasise just how ridiculous the criticisms of the RBA Boards independence are I set out below from the RBA web-site, the composition of the Reserve Bank Board members. To me they are prominent group and mix of people.
