I think Jackpot found an article that mentioned 30 days for the Govt. process to take place.
If it is a 30 day thing for the selection of the successful party, I expect that it may take longer than that before the total deal is completed.
I found an old World Bank document that stated that they (the World Bank) wanted a private Company to buy some or all of SNPT. Given wazbee's article over the weekend, this may still be the case.
If there is to be an equity buyout, then it might be a case of yes it takes 30 days to select the successful party, but then it'll take additional time to co-ordinate the nuts and bolts of making the rest of it all work i.e. the legal / financial aspect of the equity buyout.
Who knows if the above is the case or not, it's just a thought...
