I realised long ago that thieving financial planners were getting a trailing commission.
Things will not change until financial planners get paid for service rather than on commission.
Maybe I am different but I read all the fine print super funds sent me. I took personal responsibility for MY money. I educated myself by reading the business press and read books on the subject
My parents lived off the pension and it was a grim existance for them because they did not save for retirement.
I think long hard about issues like this. I don't get why people smoke. I don't get why people do not plan for retirement. I have been planning for retirement since my 20's.
