i just saw a report today in the mid day news on abc which might be of interest to you.
it says that when ASX was established there was some fund kept in reserve for the shareholders to claim if they meet some specific criteria.untill now only 31 claims have been made.
the requirement includes brokers executing the trade without ur knowledge and some other .maybe do a bit more research on it .might be helpful in ur case.
