but i think his $30 "announcement" will get heaps of media space and could spark further buying - maybe - perhaps.

Anyhow i'm not complaining. I would have thought there was an obligation to disclose offers - formal or informal.

Maybe he is simply telegraphing a price for potential bidders to look at. I don't think anyone will be interested in ago at $30. Just another way of saying if you want it you will have to buy it on the market.
