You wouldn't hear it mentioned because it is not an integral part of the process.

There are references to it in the literature. You can do a google scholar search. Drilling in the 70's and 80's was nowhere near as accurate as it is today and hence the need to frac in UCG has pobably been negated.


CSG won;t work without fraccing.
