We all should write into Nick.
I have heard mixed reports about him, Barry O'Farrel said yesterday something like "searching for a Nick Xenephon moment" insinuating that he looks to grab headlines.
I am a Liberal supporter but to Barry i say this...
What is wrong with what Nick is doing??
I do not agree with everything he says, eg pokie reforms or live cattle trading, but the thing that always resonates with me when he speaks is his passion and commitment to what he thinks is right.
Wanted to write him an e mail anyway to say just that!
He has guts, stands his ground, demands protection of the australian people in my opinion.
Remember he put pressure on the GOVT to sort out the NBN deal, and if you watch APAC channel on FOX you see that he often stands up as a voice of independence.

His approach to politics is perhaps best summed up in his First Speech in the Senate when he simply said:

As I said he will be the man that could do something on this trading thing. This is his strength.
If we all e mail he will investigate.. not just ignore it because he is not tied down to a political party!
