if you dont like NG....then go have a look at the ugly public housing units that were built in most cities up to the 70's....
they are like the cargo containers that you see on the transports...just joined together, then stacked on top of each other....
that cost is paid by all taxpayers.....and it would cost you more, for a lot less of a house...
in Melb they are in Carlton, Prahran....
the govt,s no matter which party are not good at building anything....they do it for the least cost....
thats why the laws were changed, to give the incentive to private people to provide better housing....
we all recently paid triple the going rate for rudd and gillard to build school halls...that was our taxes...
note the banks are not lending for the govt's latest scheme to provide low cost housing....
