The geophysical logs have been used in conjunction with the conventional core that was retrieved from the Niobrara "A" and "B" zones to determine the rock stress field for planning the north south orientation azimuth of the horizontal lateral. The Niobrara ?B? was selected as the optimum field to seek in Samson?s first Niobrara appraisal and with the science complete, 7-inch casing set, the bore angle established for the drill bit cut, the appropriate angle was selected and thus began this endeavor at a depth of 6,114? to reach the Niobrara ?B? at 7,315? to encounter the 4,300? horizontal and the target Oil play. The FRAC team will be called in and a plug and perforation process will be performed using 15-stages and placement of 3,000,000 pounds of Proppant into the Niobrara ?B? Formation. Previous Niobrara encounters were performed in the Niobrara ?A? formation at 6,900? and after evaluation of the 3D Seismic , Niobrara cross sections of sub-layer below the Niobrara ?A? and Geo-scientific evaluation of the core samples the study concluded the fore mentioned Niobrara Oil play selection.
