Tomahawk Energy Ltd (ASX: THK) reports the momentum of the 2005 drilling
program has continued with the completion of drilling the 12th, 13th and
14th well in the oil and gas project in Okfuskee County, Oklahoma, USA.
The electric logs from the 12th well in the project, the
Longview 2-17 have confirmed substantial hydrocarbons in multiple
formations in both the primary "unconventional" and secondary
"conventional" targets.
This result reflects ongoing exploration success.
The logs have indicated 289 feet of gross hydrocarbons over 9
intervals in both the primary and secondary objectives.
The two primary unconventional objectives, the Caney Shale and
the Woodford Shale, intersected gross thicknesses of 163 feet and 43
feet respectively with excellent gas shows of more than 1,500 units.
The well has also discovered gas over the 7 conventional
formations where it intersected gross thicknesses of 83 feet.
