No offence intended to anyone, because I truly believe there's room for everyone, every view, every constructive criticism, every strategy and like or dislike.

However, if you really break it down, all of those things are fundamentally influenced by whether you are a trader or an investor.

As for whether the former or latter is more or less of a gamble, it's not important as it's a personal choice.

What I think would be a good thing, to help to everybody on HC, is if the org behind HC would introduce 2 threads per ASX stock. One for those who are more interested in trading STV and a separate thread for all those with a LTV. The two don't seem to me to be very compatible. Put it like this. Both should have a stage but put them on the same stage and they compete, destructively.

That might reduce the energy that many people feel they need to expend every day counter arguing arguments that needn't be necessary in the first place. Perhaps we'd see less posts from investors like myself (not a bad thing) and more from DTers (not a bad thing). But at least it would be clear what their context, timeline and interest is (and what it isn't).

Having 2 threads wouldn't need to restrict anyone from one or the other, but it should quickly become obvious where individuals 'belong' and it would then be up to the moderators to warn people who clearly post on the wrong side or who perhaps come 'looking for trouble', either way. No doubt it would actually make their job easier.

I for one am more interested in what LTers have to say about the company, it's fundamentals, it's product, it's product, be it trials or drilling or whatever it is. No doubt others are interested in the effects of the DJ, Nasdaq, FTSE, world markets, Greece, Italy, China etc etc and how it affects the ASX.

I hope HC will consider this as a way to help focus us all better and end the contual fighting - PRR thread is a great example.

I would say let's have a show of hands. Why not help to raise attention to this with a show of support?
