The IMF just cut its world growth forecasts and warned that the global economy has entered a "dangerous new phase". They said commodity prices would be hit hard. This would hit Australian resource stocks and our economy hard too. Asia has not de-coupled because it has become a global financial system with world-wide trade and economic connectivity. And contrary to popular mis-belief - Australia is not an island.
