a rumor is a rumor is a rumor, do we agree on that for starters? and anyone who attempts (by quoting creditable sources or presenting some plausible rationale) to enhance its credibility, deserves none themselves.
the danger for spreaders of rumors (rumours) is that they might end up believing their own BS and, acting accordingly, lose money.
for some unknown reason, the POG has gone down overnite. someone out there hasn't heard your rumor, by the looks of it.
here's another one for you to ponder: how many times in the past have we heard that Newmont will take over NCM, or Shell WPL? in the latter case - I would have to look it up, it goes back a long way but amory never forgets - the timing was quite brilliant. the odd inside-trader or two made heaps, the rest of us did their dough.
you see, my young friend, I've been around longer than you have. you ought to treat amory with respect.
