I had to post a package yesterday {it was needed for the weekend} and the post office didnt open until 8am. I had to be at work by 8am so the package didnt get to the postoffice until late afternoon. This got me thinking, why not outgoing parcels as well as incoming? Something like this maybe: parcel is placed inside locker, the base of which is a weigh machine. You punch in the postcode and it shows you the postage cost. You then swipe your credit card to pay that amount and when its approved, gives you a code number to lock the door.
I would be happy to pay a premium for a service like this!
