Lower Aussie dollar makes imported steel more expensive giving local producers like Bluescope an advantage.
A lower Australian dollar also makes earnings from overseas operations when converted into Australian dollars more profitable.
Would be good for the manufacturing sector to see the AUS dollar at 80 cents to the US dollar.
