    dinkum,

You raise valid points but I think are a little harsh on Cook. I admit, however, that I do not know anywhere near what many posters here (yourself, muzza, jessie, Portable, cgt etc) do.

Perhaps Cook has been self-serving but he has some very good results on board too which shareholders are ignoring and harping about the negatives (this is also the case with another share I, jessie and cgt hold due to SP languishing, people bring up things in the past to rubbish the CEO).

People will whinge when they have become emotionally attached to the stock (due to investing too much and sitting on a paper loss - I am sitting on a loss but I don't have a huge amount in here, I want to get some more) which should not occur. It goes both ways, ie you should not get aggressive when someone suggest deficiencies which are backed up in a stock you hold/positive on.

Is it Cook's fault that share price underperformed even though they got the BARDA grant? SP is to a degree out of his control, he can achieve targets but if market doesn't respond positively, what can he do?

UNS CEO has bought huge amounts of stock, SP is still wavering.

Cook is not a salesman, he seems very dour and presents facts both positives and perhaps more negatives :) so you are not completely bullish.

I feel he is competent at the technical side, maybe the business side he is lacking but you can't have everything.

The market clearly wants short-term revenues so as Portable mentions we have to look to them gaining a good partnering deal with a large pharma for HRV or NASDAQ listing (ie BTA follows GTG rather than UNS) otherwise SP is going to continue to languish in this market.

Biotechs are very volatile and a long-term investment (things don't happen as planned see ADO), if you can't handle that, may need to get out of the kitchen IMO.

You mention that Cook is a glorified secretary, well if he doesn't reply or takes his time, shareholders complain about that as well. He can't win mate.

IMO they have enough coverage from analysts (Taylor and RBS) and they will cover BTA if they continue to get runs on the board which they will IMO. I don't think BTA needs to chase them.

They may need more instos on board (other than Hunter Hall), perhaps a big cornerstone US investor via the NASDAQ listing (hopefully Piper Jaffray are arranging this and I don't think this should be too difficult considering they have the BARDA grant :).

I like the shareholder updates, at the last Melbourne one, Mark Pachacz from Bioshares was there and it was informative as Portable mentioned. I think they are great in allowing small holders to gain nuances/subtleties we may not get from written announcements.

    Just my thoughts.
