I agree that the REE market as such got a lot of hype, resulting in lots of juniors with some chip samples being pushed to unrealistic heights. But I will vehemently deny that Alk was overvalued at $2,7 in May, considering our extremely conservative NPV equals a SP of $4,5 (not counting the gold projects).

"The differentiating aspect for ALK is the capacity to also produce heavy REE "
    IMO the differentiating aspects are

    1) With a completed DSF, 3 MoUs and a working demonstration plant, ALK is very close to production, compared with said overhyped plays

    2) Dubbos zirconium, niobium, tantalum, Yttrium, HREE, LREE and gold* mix reduces the dangers of price volatiliy of any single of these elements.

*Plan Z - gold credits from producing acid; Tomingley and Orange HV adding a safe base to the share price.

    3) The supply/demand picture for zirconium + niobium looking great for at least the next 10 years. Remember: ca. 2/3 of our revenue will come from these two elements.

    4) 3 MoU on zirconium signed.

That is not to say that said hype wasn't responsible for some sheeple buying into Alkane and then selling again last week on the Molycorp downgrade. But Alkane's intrinsic value, imO, is a lot higher than what we have seen so far. And I am convinced Mr. Market will get it at the latest when financing is completed as indicated by Alk - that is with partners paying a MULTIPLE of the NPV for their share in the DZP.

P.S. Yes, a better trader than me would have sold at 2,70 for an almost 10-bagger. And I really should not have bought more at $ 2. OTOH, as a value investor I was able to pick up most of my Alk shares at 0,30* (congrats to your ,09; back then I was busy with cheap bluechips), and 5 years from now, assuming they get the DZP up and running, they'll be worth at least $10 (see my "fun with numbers" thread further down). So I might miss out on some profits, but longterm my results will be really satisfactory ...

*interstingly, this might be the yearly dividend a few years from now: if we go with the DFS, once they paid off the debt they will earn a minimum of 300 mio / year. With some dilution (~10%), we'll have 300 mio shares. That's $1 / share earnings / year. If they pay out 1/3 of that as dividends ...
