Some time ago, i posted small note that a big shot resource company was prepared to pay $6.50 a share for CNL to get a foothold in the phosphate industry. Admittedly this was just pub talk: nothing more; nothing less.
This particular story was met with much derision and with CNL's share price struggling under 40c i too felt a goat.
However with Rio Tinto declaring that it wants to get into the fertiliser game _ who knows.
As for the demand for fertiliser, someone made the comment that after this year's Queensland flood half of Narua was washed out to sea.
