Not downramping.. just being logical... heres my thinking..
With climate change etc there is a need for clean power (ie. non-coal). Wind/Solar will never supply enough baseload. Nuclear has the potential to fill the gap but deep political issues post Fukashima.
Safe nuclear power is the win-win situation - if the fissile material is easily available.. all the better!
Therefore, I forsee is a huge R&D investment in thorium or other safe nuclear technology which could lead to this technology being viable sooner than later.
Therefore, many future nuclear plants might be designed for non-U.
I am not saying PDN is going bust but long-term.. being a single U play is risky.
