Some people try to trade every single move in the market, in my experience it is too stressful, and even if you do profit you have to pay tax on it.
I prefer to buy stocks I have faith in for the long term, collect dividends and reinvest. I generally only sell if I lose faith in a stock.
I do hold some speculative stocks to trade but 90% of my holdings are for the long term.
