    Hi CW,

Well what would really impress me is that if a week or so ago you had said "I just sold all my FML, my charts told me we are in for a huge drop from 7.4c to 6c in the next week so I sold everything and will buy back in when the huge drop happens this week". Then the drop happens and you and your charts are proved right.

I recently posted a typical chartists prediction that was full of "if moving averages do this then this MAY happen and then if this line is crossed then this POSSIBLY may eventuate then IF the fibonuchiguchi line is breached we COULD see this etc", and pointed out how it all pretty much meant (as usual) that "the stock may go up or it may go down" which I find less that helpful.

Then the post was removed as per...

For the life of me I can't see how it was "flaming or baiting" or ordering anyone to reply. It seems to me that someone simply did not like me rattling their charting beliefs, and instead of logical debate, complained and somehow had it removed.

I am most impressed with you, as you seem like one that may find charts useful and are at least willing (and able) to debate the usage, and willing to inform and educate others. Personally I can't afford to write long posts explaining my position just to have them removed for reasons that I can't understand. I certainly did not mean to "flame or bait" and yet someone easily had my post removed. Because they did not like what it implied I guess. Unlike many on this board, I read all posts, especially those that I don't agree with, as that is known as "having an open mind". I find the moderation here too easily used as a tool to remove any opposing thought, so will not be posting here much in future. In fact if this post is removed you will not see me post here again. I have been very careful just to post my opinion without malice, flaming, baiting and on topic (ie replying to a respected member about the topic chartwatch).

Please note, of all these men... Warren Buffet, Richard Branson, Steve jobs, Paulson, JP Morgan, Bill Gates, Rockafella etc, not one of them have said that charts were helpful in any way. Especially the best ever, Mr Buffet. All innovated things or bought value stocks. If charts worked, there would be far more "investors" lying on beaches with their "system" on their laptop. Until proven otherwise, by some predictions well *before* they happen. I will view chartists as people trying to find mathematical patterns where none exist.

Anyway, good luck to us all.

    Cheers, IE
PS I do understand that what makes Hotcopper one of the best forums is that they do moderate out the useless name calling and off topic posts etc, and I do appreciate that.
