We have recently completed rolling over 3 funds into SMSF and 2 were painless with no more than a tick and flick form filled out the remaining one with BUSSQ was a 6 week ordeal, starting with them being inconsistant and unclear with what they required. Anyway in the end the sticking point was the ATO "Letter of Compliance" which turns out to be nothing more than the form from the ATO which is adreesed to you and which says:
Your rola as trustee of a self managed super fund Please keep this letter Desr Mr/Mrs xxxxx We're writing about your responsibilites as the trustee of XXXXXXX Superfund. You need to keep this letter as proof of your role in your SMSF if you make any rollover requests.
