27 die in massive car bomb From correspondents in Tikrit May 11, 2005 From: Agence France-Presse TWENTY-seven people have died and 70 were wounded when a massive car bomb exploded in Saddam Hussein's hometown of Tikrit, north of Baghdad.
"A car parked in front of a bus station in the city centre exploded, killing 27 people, including a policeman, and wounding 70 others," a police officer said. Meanwhile, in Baghdad, at least three people were killed and 10 were wounded in two separate car bomb explosions, an interior ministry official said.
