Anonymous could (may be) able to close the NYSE with a DDoS. They may even be able to "wipe" the main servers. But I doubt there would be any real long term data loss or damage. In the end I suspect the effect would be very bad for anonymous rather than NYSE. The exchange may suffer some disturbance but anonymous, well I believe that would be the end of them. The whole US state apparatus (intelligence, police etc.) would be brought down on them. There are some pretty good means of hiding, but if the intelligence boys start really looking I doubt that the members could stay hidden for long. I also doubt that the US would care if the people they catch were guilty or not given their extra-judicial assasinations going on at present, let alone their judicial executions.
