Well said Utexas. From what l've been able to ascertain from limited sources is that Reckitt were not prioritising the product and Ansell were very keen to take it on from the very outset ie pre SSL deal. Ansell's world market share is increasing so may end up a good deal.
One thing that really annoyed me was when SPL announced the SSL deal originally with great fanfare they claimed it a $100 million+ deal. l wrote to the company and asked what that exactly meant. $100 mill in 1 year, 10 years, 100 years??? They didn't (or couldn't) quantify. This is exactly the "opaque' guidance you mentioned.
