    Re your post which included:
"... I am very vero close to the bushfire scene and its intracasies and possible outcomes - and think I know a lot more than you do about what went on - what's going on - and what's in the future. ..."

I don't doubt your sincerity or expertise in this area but you are sadly wrong in making assertions about me. My sister lost a father in law in the recent Vic fires - a person I knew well! Our son's family even lives close to Kinglake and some of my best mates are front line firefighters / chiefs.

As a school Principal I had to develop and implement emergency management plans to protect 500 kids. This meant seamless liaison with all emergency organisations involved in all phases of bushfire response - Police, Hospital, CFA, bus companies etc .... Under my direction and supervision my staff worked one on one with people affected by the dual impact of drought and bushfire in our NE rural community.

I was even responsible for ensuring that programs such as 'Advance' [Geoff Kennett's VYDP] continued to provide young people in NE Vic with hands on CFA training.

Nor should my assessment of this lazy, visionless and inept Baillieu Govt. be mistaken as an endorsement of the Gillard Govt. After 12 months as PM Julia Gillard's performance is made less concerning only by the apparent consequences of Tony Abbott as PM.
