    ASXO,

There are many ways to value a company. The method used by both RCR and Hartleys was the NPV method. Which is different to method that JB used ie. Price Earnings Method. There is no right or wrong method and a good investor takes into account as many as possible in their assessment on the valuation of a particular company. A good investor should also not assume that the valuations provided by any Broker is always correct. As I have posted before, I don't agree with all the assumptions RCR and Hartleys have used.

A recalculation or a revisit of the valuation of a company may also be warranted as the variables and assumptions used by RCR and Hartleys may be out of date and/ or no longer relevant.

JBs method for calculating PE was logically sound and well thought out. While I may have disagreed with some of the variables he used, no one really knows what the correct number is until the DFS is released. Valuations are afterall based on assumptions and forecasts.

IMO, posters on here sometimes take things for granted and forget that a lot of time and effort goes into a lot of posts on Hotcopper and all the useful info is provided Free of charge.
