    And yet another example of the touchy-feely, p/c, bleeding-heart approach to social engineering that has brought the youth of today to the unenviable position it is in atm.

    Why is it that suddenly in the past decade perhaps, there is this overwhelming need/desire/compulsion to insulate the kids from stress, pressure, competition etc.

    Trouble is you do that throughout their education and the minute they hit the real world

    .....they have no skills or experience to cope.

    Fact is kids need rules...they need limits.

    The whole process of socialisation is predicated upon this set of rules. Most, if not, all will test the limits and this is indeed that which separated the child from the adult.
