    I've read this thread with some consternation over the past few days and not known where to start. I'll start with the ignorant notion that the Bali gaol is a living hell. Plainly it isn't. There are plenty of Australians being held there. None of them are showing any active interest in being repatriated to serve their sentences in Australia. There's a very simple reason for that. Prison conditions in Australia are more harsh than the "Living hell" of Bali.
