I'll digress to the notion that this young man is getting what he deserves. People who have a malicious intent and set out to inflict suffering on others deserve to be punished severely. Other people who through gross negligence inflict suffering on others without malicious intent need to be punished in order to maintain standards of conduct. This young guy who's been arrested has neither harmed anyone, nor sought to harm anyone. At worst he's attempted to purchase a product which provides a temporary alteration to his state of consciousness. I've just drunk about 15 schooners because I enjoy drinking and know that getting absolutely plastered every now and then is one of humanitys healthier pursuits. I wouldn't regard his conduct in any graver light than I regard my own. I think he should be released and commended for his free spirit.
