Think I found our couple of farmers airing their views crew ; bearing in mind that the article is 'Farmers Weekly' and no doubt from their point of view. Very small town by the sounds with mainly game farming at risk.
Go to http://www.farmersweekly.co.za Article is 5 or so down the page : Over 17,000ha of bushveld marked for mining
Whilst I have empathy for these couple of farmers and their small town, the DMR must have concluded before approving the MR that game farming & hunting was either not at risk at continuing for these farmers or just not a high priority versus the benefits RES brings to the table. Obviously RES satisfied the Eco side of things.
Am sure our Management are well aware of doing the righty here and have been pro-active within the community. The MR would've included a Social & Labour plan. Also, RES has stated previously they have been involved & working with with the Lephalale Local Municipality prob for now 2yrs initiating a wastewater treatment plant. "This will be the first of many activities we will be undertaking for the Limpopo Community"
