I recieved an email from PL on Friday. Q's and A's below. Perhaps it goes someway to answering:
Q: Further to your response below, we are now officially into “months” instead of “weeks”.
A: It hasn’t gone backwards and we are almost there – can only give you timelines as they are apparent at any given time – we are very confident we will get done next week given the drafts circulating
Q: What hurdles are yet to be crossed ?
A: Final Board approval – CEO and working parties signed off
Q: On a side issue would NWKE consider posting regular updates (not required by ASX) on it’s website ?
A: Nope – would be told to announce by ASX / ASIC – understand the uncontained frustration (felt here as well) but the key positive is that its not falling in a heap despite the woeful time frames – all parties realize now that legal scraps wont get this anywhere and commercial realism has set in.
Will there be an annoucement this week - I doubt it but his answers tell me that there has been friction at the negotiation table.
