It won't only be these unaware investors but also the banks etc that will be hit by bad debts....I am going to look at a one bedroom apartment in central Tokyo for AUD$80,000 on monday. This place was selling for $460,000 in 1989.....the net yield on it now is around 11%. Not bad when I can borrow at 1.75%. When the dust settles, Tokyo being a major city may be the next place to invest!
