If that's the case. Why does the government need to give the handouts. Is it because ONLY the government is looking into the future and us voters don't know what this means? OR, when the handouts come, our short-sightedness comes to the fore and we forget about the pain because of the short term gain?

All you have to do is look at the CleanEnergyFuture website and the main heading in BOLD is

"How Much Will I Get?"

Gimme a break.

ps. 'The Federal Government were the ones to draw that line' Basically saying they KNOW better. Really?
