No MyMom I am not that other person. This has always been my only handle. It is from the funny show 3rd Rock from the Sun. Much like that show I try not to take myself too seriously, but i do a lot of research and over the last 8 years of investing I have invested in over 40 different stocks with only 2 losses, so my research hasn't been too bad. My overall portfolio has made more than double my initial investment despite the GFC otherwise it would be Quadrupled. I have spent most of the profits along the way on overseas trips, following the arts etc.

I sold my last lot of NXS at $1.35 and most at $1.80 with my averaged down buyin of $1.04. It was a modest profit, but I am glad I sold then rather than held on for more possible gains. I only got greedy once on BAU buying at 50 cents, I should have sold the lot at $1.30 but am still holding until they eventually recoup my investment in maybe 3-5 years. The lesson is to take modest profits off the table before they turn into losses. I have dodged about half a dozen bullets by taking reasonable profits eg. MFS, Colorado, Babcock and Brown, NXS, and MPO all of which I sold at a good profit.
