You would think Downer would currently have more important things be concerned about than to shoot his dumb mouth off about his distorted view of history
For example
"Labor was a party that was happy to seek donations from the Baathist regime of Iraq during the 1970s, he said."
On face value this is something that should be condemed - BUT also fails to mention that at the same time Saddam's Baathist regime was good friends with the US under Reagan as well as some of the current US administration which included the US's support for Iraq in the war with Iran.
If Dumb Downer is going to critisize labor for their involvement with Iraq in the 70's then he should also have even stronger critisism for the US, Reagan and the likes of Rummi for thier even deaper involvement at the same time.
