I think using middle eastern countries isn't the best comparison,those airlines govt. owned, a bit different when you have share holders to answer to. What about Malaysia,Cathay,Singapore,Thai,Garuda, I more then likely fly Malaysian and they would leave most for dead in service and price, the unions need to be put back in their place, we are supposed to live in a free mrkt.no room for protectionism,if the pilots feel they are worth 200k, the world is your oyster go and get it,not by unions holding a gun to the co. head, a US fighter pilot earns 53k Euros a year, I think these guys are on a good wicket,earning a 170k and talking about inflation sounds a bit crazy
