Heres one thought zzedzz.

If a major can control and manage a share price through sheer volume of churn via algo trading.
Whats stopping them shorting the stock and then simply pushing the price down to complete their trade.
Conversly they wouldn't want the stock to ever rise on good news. Not a problem when you can cap and churn like theres no tomorrow. Easy to overcome retail trading in this scenario by sheer weight of numbers.
All the while the unsophisticated retail investor (particulary any who've used leverage) and goes long on company fundamentals; believing they will ultimately see capital appreciation is losing out if margins are hit and forced sales result.
No-one in their right mind can tell me this trade activity is fair and reasonable. It's manipulation and greed and an audit is needed to verify excactly whats been happening.
